When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. Account authentication is managed through our identity provider, Clerk.

You provide career information to power our matching and document generation features, including:

  • Work experience, education, and certifications
  • Skills, competencies, and industry preferences
  • Career narrative and target role preferences
  • Writing style preferences for document generation

Job Search Activity

As you use the platform, we collect data about your interactions with job listings, including which jobs you save, apply to, archive, and provide feedback on. This data helps improve your match quality over time.

Generated Documents

We store resumes and cover letters generated through the platform so you can access them later and we can improve our generation quality.

Usage Data

We automatically collect standard usage data such as pages visited, features used, browser type, and device information to improve the platform experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Discover and match job opportunities to your profile
  • Score job listings against your background using AI
  • Generate tailored resumes and cover letters
  • Provide career insights, market intelligence, and coaching
  • Learn your preferences over time to improve match accuracy
  • Send transactional emails (pipeline results, account notifications)
  • Maintain and improve the platform

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each processes data only as necessary to provide their specific function:

  • Clerk — Authentication and account management
  • Google Gemini — AI-powered job scoring, document generation, and career analysis
  • Perplexity — Market research and public career information discovery
  • OpenAI — Job listing prefiltering
  • Neon — Database hosting
  • Vercel — Application hosting
  • Inngest — Background job processing
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery

4. AI Processing

Core features of Jobrador rely on AI models to score jobs, generate documents, and provide career insights. When you use these features, relevant portions of your profile and job data are sent to our AI providers for processing. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. AI-generated content (resumes, cover letters, insights) is provided as a suggestion — you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party service providers listed above, and only as necessary to operate the platform. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Job records and generated documents are retained for the lifetime of your account. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — Update or correct inaccurate data through your profile settings
  • Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export — Request an export of your data in a portable format
